Over the last 25 years Laos opened the Bamboo Curtain and a fast change started. While French colonists almost forgot the hidden mountain kingdom and investors in Paris only produced a bubble of never used mining licenses until the world economic crisis, second world war and the independency wars in Indochine stopped the imperial dreams of “La Grande Nation” ending in an economic and human disaster.

Now construction of roads, the planning of railway lines, the construction of dams and the issue of Mining Licenses changing the simple change into a race for developing and exploring one of the worlds last hidden treasure.
